Hale and hearty
At 12, XAAR MORINIERE is the oldest horse in our stables but his career is far from being finished. On August 29th at Le Pertre, he did prove it when winning a cross-country race by 10 lengths. Yet, a year and a half ago, he seriously injured one leg and we didn’t think then he would be able to race again.
His new partner, Wilfrid Denuault, enjoyed himself very much with the “old uncle”!

…win for ROCHE BRUNE on the flat at Royan on August 22nd. Ridden by a quite confident Mickaël Barzalona, she was tough and courageous to beat the favourite by a neck.

Back from holidays
After a tough meeting at Pau last winter, STARTLING DU MAGNY really appreciated the 5 months ’rest she had to recover a good health. And actually at Ecommoy on August 22nd, she was brilliant when winning a chase in good company, confidently ridden by Johnnny Charron.
We can trust this courageous filly for the future.

He goes on with his apprenticeship
On August 22nd at Saint-Jean-de-Monts, TOQUE VERTE was once again 2nd in a flat race and it was a good performance. He is going to run twice again on the flat and then will go on holidays to finish his growing.
And next year, he will go directly over hurdles.

Good preparation
On August 15th at Lion d'Angers, we aimed CHRISETI for a prep race Prix Monsieur X for a Grand cross country race of Craon which will take place on September 5th. He finished good second and we were quite happy with his race as obsviously CHRISETI was not quite ready.
On the other hand, we were not as happy with the jockey. Actually, at about 4 furlongs from home, they all stupidly followed the leader who went the wrong way !! He soon realised his mistake, stopped and turned back....but the other ones went on to the finishing post and it was only then they went back to take the right route.Unfortunately it did cost: 15 days suspension for the jockeys!

He needs to run
After a year and a half off, SCHOOL OF LAW did a come back over hurdles at Rochefort sur le loir on August 15th. He finished 4th in a big race in whih he was not really licky ( a horse fell down in his legs) ...He got frightened and didn't dare to race on boldly for the rest of the race.
It will be better next time.

A future good one!
KORRIMAD ( by Madoun out of Korrigane) had only run once on the flat and finished 4th. But we soon decided to jump him, as in training he seemed to be quite gifted. Last Sunday on August 15th at Rochefort sur le Loir he finished 2nd over hurdles in quite a good style...
But unfortunately, he missed the win because ot a slight mistake at the last fence. Nevertheless, we were thrilled with this result as he debuted really well.

Well done little one!
On August 15th at Vichy, THERAMENE ran Prix de Vazelhes, Criterium of the Centre region for 3 years old halfbread horses and she won it very easily. The jockey Alexandre Pillet was certainely more tired than his filly.Actually she is a very cold filly and he had push her from the start....At a furlong and a half from home she eventually changed gear and won by several lenghts. What a courageous little filly!
Her next entries are: either on September 4th at Craon or on October 1st at Saint-Cloud.

Not many news
As you can see it, there are few news at the moment. We have actually had few runners since the beginning of the summer because of the heat and the lack of rain all over west of the country. We look forward to September when we have young horses first time out and more experienced ones impatiently expected.
